Portal doesn't return the user after an approval in the bank's app (Wise, UK)
Hi Synci team,
Our iPhone app opens your hosted portal with a portal session (POST /managed/v1/users/{user_id}/portal-sessions, with return_url and institution_id), through the GoCardless integrator.
When the bank approves in its own app, the user never comes back to our return_url. We saw it today with Wise in the UK:
Our app opens the portal link in Safari.
The user is handed to the Wise app and approves there.
Wise opens the return address in a new Safari tab.
That tab shows app.synci.io with "Open the portal from your app" and goes no further.
The connection itself is made. We can see two connections for this user in the dashboard, one for each attempt (7 October, 14:56 and 15:03 UTC). Only the trip back fails. The portal session seems to live in the tab that opened it, so a new tab has nothing to continue from. Most UK banks approve in their own app, so we expect this to happen often.
Could the portal finish the return without the original tab? For example, it could carry what it needs in the callback URL, or send the browser to the return_url of the session that started the requisition when the tab has no session.
Also, is there a way to learn a connection was made without the browser coming back? Your docs say connection webhooks aren't available yet.
