When matching new transactions with existing manually added ones in YNAB, if the destination Memo field is empty it should be populated with the info coming from the source.
This could definitely improve the experience for some users (me included), but it unfortunately seems to be outside our control. Which fields being kept is decided by YNAB. Detailed in this YNAB article:
"Which date or amount will be kept in a match?
Regardless of whether the matching was automatic or manual, the amount is kept from the bank-imported transaction, while YNAB keeps the payee, memo, and date from the transaction you entered."
I will keep this as "In Review" for now, but I also urge you to send this feedback directly to YNAB :)
